Has it really already been a week? Where has the time gone. Wedding season is in full swing which means lots of coffee, little sleep, and lots of pretty! I’m loving it!
Right before I kicked off my biggest month in Dallas with 6 weddings, I spent two weeks on vacation. As you know, Aaron and I went to New York to celebrate his birthday way early. (You can read about it here) And, then I got to spend lots of time with my sister!!
A lot of sisters have a “thing” that they do. They do this whenever they are together and it is just their “thing”. For us, it’s music. It is no secret that my sister loves music but it is also something that we love together. We love to listen to tunes in the car and sing them at the top of our lungs whether it’s an old Aly and AJ song we loved when we were younger or a new trendy song Maryanne is currently showing me (like the new Dawes album). We just love listening to music. It’s funny because when I hear songs they bring me back to a great memory, most of the time with my sister.
Of course listening to music doesn’t stop in our cars, we love to go to concerts together. When the Lumineers kicked off their tour for their new album, we decided it’s been too long! We need to see a show together! Since they played in Austin on Maryanne’s birthday weekend, it seemed like fate! She flew out and we enjoyed lots of fun Texas things together!
Before the show, we stopped at the Magnolia Market!! Then we tried a few places in Austin! Launderette was AMAZING! If you are ever in Austin and looking for some delicious, fresh food with a fun atmosphere check out this laundromat turned diner. Then we enjoyed our lawn seats at the Lumineers concert! What a great show!
The fun didn’t stop there! It’s Fall and I had to take Maryanne to see the pumpkins at the Dallas Arboretum. It was so fun and the perfect way to get into the Fall season!
She also managed to watch a Rangers game, go to the Texas state Fair, and celebrate her birthday at the Rustic!! B, I love you so much! I can’t believe you’re a year older! I loved spending your birthday with you! Cheers to many more!!
