Hosting Easter Brunch by Kailee Fodge of A Dash of Koko

Friends, family and loved ones all coming together to have a delicious meal together sounds like such an overwhelming event fun time, right?! Pump the brakes, sister! I am here to give you a few easy tips on how hosting your own Easter brunch can be stress free and full of love without feeling overwhelming and like a huge undertaking.

Start with a Plan

Planning your color scheme, menu and your vision can save you from having a headache throughout the prepping process. Decide what your vision is for your brunch. If you are a minimalist do not try and go overboard with the décor and try to impress your husband’s traditional grandmother who is coming over for the first time. You will only end up stressing yourself out. Plan out the colors you want to adorn your table, whether it be a large farm table or a small breakfast area, add what makes you feel happy. Pastels and floral make for a beautiful Easter brunch, shocking, right?!

Start Early

On the day of the brunch, procrastination is not your friend. Start preparing early and get things done. You will be so happy you did this in the end. Have your centerpiece ready, the house cleaned and the table set. The mistake we make is trying to do the little things on the day of the brunch, fixing this and that and when guests arrive we are still working when we should be greeting. Start early and you won’t regret it.

Set the Stage

No matter your style, make your guests feel welcome. This is the main role of a hostess. If you start with a plan and you are prepared you will have everything prepped and ready when guests begin to arrive. Welcome them when they start to come in and be ready to entertain. Then, enjoy! Have a wonderful time with your guests and celebrate our risen Savior!
